Anne-Marie and Serge will welcome you to the Domaine De La Rue with its 14 acres at the top of a hill offering a magnificient panoramic view.

The Domaine is situated half way between Paris and "Mont-Saint-Michel" (about 110 miles), and a stone's throw from the Cathedral town of Sées. The National stud farm "Haras du Pin" is no more than 10 miles away.

We have no doubts that you will enjoy your stay with "gourmet owners", who have a passion for horse riding and antiques

The Domaine itself is comprised of several buildings, surrounded by a large flowery garden, orchards and grassy meadows.

The bedrooms and the lounge are located in the main house, built in 1830 by the Royal library's administrator during the reign of Charles X th.
Since 1996, we have made every effort to restore the identity of the Domaine to its original condition.
the Atmosphere

We will welcome you to the house and the harmony of the place.
At our guest's disposal :

- on the ground floor a lounge for breakfast, diner, and reading, and on entering the ground floor is a spacious hall leading to curving flight of stairs to the first and the second floor.

- a two bed-roomed suite for 2 to 4 persons (on the 2nd floor), with a spacious bathroom.
- a large bedroom for 2 persons (on the ground floor), with a bathroom with balnéo bathtub.

Romantic diners, by the fireside during the winter months, breakfast in the lounge (with sweet pastries, croissants, freshly-squeezed orange juice or fruit salad,home-made jam) or outside under an hundred-year-old maple tree when the weather is hot , ...

It's all here for your every enjoyment. Time just stands still.

The Activities

During the summer you can take a dip in our little 4 foot deep free-standing swimming pool.

It will keep you cool on the hottest days.
You are also welcome to bring your horses with you.

Our meadows are at your disposal as well as our "carrière" (sandy paddock) if you wish to ride and work your horses.

Should you have a passion for antique furniture,

you could have personal training in furniture restoring from Serge who is cabinet-restorer.

He will show you the basics of his passion for furniture restoration.
